- provenance: formerly the property of a Quebec based amateur astronomer, and purchased for the DTM through Optiques Fullum, after it was seen by the DTM founder and Director at Stellafane 2019;
- condition: Excellent; the focuser cap has a few dents caused by caused by a shop accident;
- notes: an example of the “signature” Fullum wooden telescope, a line of instruments which along with premium optics, established the maker’s reputation. The style is culturally reminiscent of the sculptural tradition of “folk” wood carving of Quebec in the wake of the Quiet Revolution. The maker cites no overt influence, but remembers using the material to hand to make his earliest instruments. Afterwards he discovered Oscar P. Fullam’s (1863-1926) wooden telescope in the Springfield Telescope Maker’s Hartness House Museum when he began to attend Stellafane. The DTM example was exhibited at Stellafane 2019 (but not entered in competition);
