The RASC has a wide range of committees that either deliver the Society's programs and services (Education, Publications, etc.) or help run the Society's governance model (Constitution, Nominating, etc.). Permanent Committees are described in the Society's Policy Manual, while temporary working groups, special committees, or task forces may be established to undertake a special project or to examine a specific issue.
Volunteering
Members of the RASC are encouraged to donate their time and talents to help build Canada's National Astronomy Society.
Most committees can use your help to develop their programs and services. As little as 2–3 hours a month can make a difference and help you to make friends with RASC members from across the country.
To find out more go to our volunteer page at www.rasc.ca/volunteer-opportunities or email volunteer@rasc.ca to let us know you are interested in helping a committee or a special project. Thank you!
